Our Story
Over 25 years of connecting growers to markets, seamlessly
Amazon Produce Network began with a simple mission: to help a single Brazilian mango grower navigate the U.S. market. By providing transparency, detailed quality inspections, and clear communication, we built trust and delivered results. That commitment to integrity and excellence quickly earned us the trust of more growers, and in 2000, Amazon Produce Network was born.
From the beginning, we understood that success in the produce industry relies on strong relationships, deep market expertise, and an unwavering commitment to quality. What started as a focused effort to support a single grower has now evolved into a global network of growers, retailers, wholesalers, and fresh-cut processors, all connected through our dedicated team and industry-leading expertise.
Expanding our reach, strengthening our impact
As demand for high-quality, responsibly sourced mangos grew, so did we. In 2011, we opened a West Coast location in Los Angeles, creating new opportunities for national retailers and fresh-cut customers. By 2016, our McAllen, Texas operation strengthened our ability to ensure year-round quality control for the Mexican mango season. Today, our distribution network spans all major mango-producing regions, allowing us to provide peak freshness and unmatched reliability in every shipment.
Today, Amazon Produce Network is recognized as the largest importer of mangos in the United States. While our scale has grown, our focus remains the same: building strong, sustainable relationships with growers and delivering exceptional produce to customers nationwide.
But our commitment to quality goes beyond distribution. At Amazon Produce Network, we believe that success starts at the source—with the growers. That’s why we work hand-in-hand with our grower partners to refine field and packing practices, implement the highest quality standards, and maximize efficiency at every step of the supply chain.
